Engine Air Particle Separator (EAPS) set for CH‑53A/C/G and MH‑53 Pave Low helicopter models, designed to upgrade the prominent engine inlets on the top of the airframe. Ideal for open or closed installations and for builds using our CH‑53/MH‑53 engine set.
Full product description
This Black Ops 3D set provides detailed Engine Air Particle Separators (EAPS) for CH‑53A/C/G and MH‑53 Pave Low helicopter models. These housings sit over the T64 engine inlets and are a highly visible feature on the top of the airframe, especially on Pave Low and Sea Stallion aircraft operating in dust and sand.
The parts are designed to capture the complex shapes and internal structure of the EAPS units, giving you the option to show them closed, partially open, or removed to expose the engines underneath. They are a perfect match for our CH‑53/MH‑53 engine set and bring this area up to the same level of detail as your cockpit, weapons, and rotor head.
Key features
EAPS (Engine Air Particle Separator) set for CH‑53A/C/G and MH‑53 Pave Low models.
Correct shapes and details for the prominent engine inlet housings on early CH‑53 and MH‑53 special operations variants.
Designed to work with our CH‑53/MH‑53 engine bays, allowing open or removed EAPS to reveal the engines.
High‑resolution 3D printed parts for crisp edges and internal detail.
Great for operational, maintenance, or “walkaround” builds where the top of the airframe is clearly visible.
Compatibility
Intended for models of CH‑53A/C/G and MH‑53 Pave Low‑series helicopters, which use twin‑engine T64 installations with EAPS fitted ahead of the engine intakes. This set is sized to match common CH‑53/MH‑53 kits in [insert scale, e.g., 1/48] and may require only minor fitting depending on manufacturer.
If you designed it around a specific kit (e.g., 1/48 Academy CH‑53/MH‑53), add that name explicitly:
Optimized for the Revell CH‑53 / MH‑53 kit, with only light trimming needed for other kits in the same scale.
Installation and use
Test‑fit the EAPS housings over the kit’s engine intake area or over the Black Ops 3D engines if you are using our engine set. Decide whether you want them closed (normal operations), partially open, or removed to show the engines and internal ducting. Glue the EAPS parts in place with CA, then blend any seams as needed. Prime and paint in your helicopter’s camouflage or grey scheme, adding weathering and dust to reflect the harsh environments where CH‑53 and MH‑53 aircraft typically operate.
